Sell Native Crafts Online
Did you know that “philippine native crafts” is searched twice on MSN every 24 hours? MSN is a website that allows anybody to search for other websites online. This is similar to Google.com.
This means that those exact keyword combinations are typed in on MSN’s search engine by someone who is probably looking for Philippine Made Native Crafts. What’s even more interesting is that, on MSN, there are only 4 other competing websites with those exact keyword combinations.
Try to type in “Philippine native crafts” on google.com. You will find out that there are only 7 results displayed on the website. If you checked those results, you would see that only one website sells Philippine-made crafts.
What does this mean for you, as an entrepreneur? This could have been a potential revenue stream. If you sold native crafts, and had a website, then perhaps people who typed in “philippine native crafts” would have seen your products. If you had an online store, then people could have immediately bought products from you. You could’ve generated income.
Have you considered opening an online store yet?
Pcsforeveryone
One of AnnexStore’s clients is pcsforeveryone.com. Try searching “custom computers” on google and you will see that this website is among the top search results. This website generates a lot of traffic. Just this March the traffic was a whooping 136,000 page views, with 25000 unique visits. To handle that much web traffic, the e-commerce engine had to be pretty stable.
One of the features of pcsforeveryone is a tool called the configurator. Essentially, any user can create a customized system based on the an existing computer set-up. For example, you can take a Notebook computer, send it to the configurator and add RAM, add hard disk space and select other hardware options. It’s a pretty cool tool to have.
The configurator could actually be used for other websites as well. Say you have a flower shop and would like to offer a bouquet of flowers. You can give your buyers an option to choose among different flower combinations. This would then be sent to you for your review. If it looks good, the website administrator could approve it and have it ready for delivery.
AnnexStore tools and its system’s stability can really give any e-store an added advantage over competitors.
Holland Tulips
Do you know the flower shop called Holland Tulips? You could see them within some of the Metro Manila Malls. I once bought a bouquet of Malaysian Mums for a good female friend of mine on her birthday from this shop. The flowers are pricey but they appear to be well branded.
When Holland Tulips needed an online presence, the came to Amphiltech, the company behind AnnexStore. Within a month, the website was customized and set up. The website generates completes at least 20-30 transaction per month. It’s not well marketed but it still generates significant passive income for the flower shop.
You might consider setting up an online presence. Seriously consider AnnexStore.
Empowering NTF 2006 Participants
We came from last week’s Philippine National Trade Fair 2006 at the Megatrade Hall, MegaMall, in Ortigas Philippines. A number of exhibitors showed interest in having a website. CBCFashions is one of them. They required an international presence, AnnexStore gave it to them.
Offline vs. Online
I’ve stumbled upon a simple comparison between Online and Offline Selling:
- Offline Stores (Traditional retail stores) compete for location. Shops at crowded areas, with a lot of foot traffic perform generally better. Real estate value is dependent on where the dense population is.
- Online Stores also compete for location – the top of search engine results. People go around the web to look for information. Online real estate value is dependent on who provides the most relevant and important content.
Consider it for a moment and figure out how to convert an existing offline store into an online one. (more…)
E-Commerce and AnnexStore
E-Commerce. It has become a buzz word reflective of the movement from traditional selling to a more Internet-enabled system.
What is it anyway?
Electronic Commerce is a method of conducting of business communication and transactions over the Internet. Specifically, ecommerce is the buying and selling of goods and services, and the transfer of funds, through a digital medium.
Why is it important?
In September 2002, an estimated 605 Million Users were online. Between a quarter and a third of them are estimated to be Internet shoppers. That is almost 200 million potential customers - additional revenue for any existing business.
Would you like to get into that e-Commerce bandwagon?
Here’s a simple solution - Annex Store. It’s a simple solution for entrepreneurs who want to get a hand into e-commerce without the hassles of setting up a store on their own.
